Plan B, said plainly

Nothing beats walking with me.

The in-person tour is the real thing: questions, detours, the small human stories I only tell on foot. But if no date fits your trip, or you simply prefer to walk at your own pace, this version covers the whole historical arc, from the fall of Paris in 1940 to the Liberation of August 1944, at the exact places where it happened.

Clément Daguet-Schott, Paris History Tours

Narrated in my own voice

The same guide, the same research.

I wrote the script from the same research as the guided tours, and the narration is my voice. Not a studio narrator, not a generic city audioguide: the same guide, at the same places, telling the same history.

The French narration is available today; the English narration is being recorded and will be added to every purchase at no cost.

The English edition is being recorded

The walk exists and is finished — in French. I narrate every stop myself rather than hand it to a machine, so the English recording is being made now. Leave me a message and you will be the first to know when it opens.

Questions

Things you might wonder.

How does the self-guided tour work?

After payment you receive an email with a personal link. Open it on your phone: a map shows the route and your position, and the narration starts when you reach each stop. Subtitles and the archive photographs follow the audio.

Do I need an internet connection during the walk?

No. Open the page once on wifi (at your hotel, for instance) and wait for “Ready for offline use”: the audio, the photographs and the map of the Latin Quarter are then stored on your phone. GPS works without data.

How long do I have access?

You pick the day you plan to walk. The tour opens the evening before and stays open for a few days after it, so you can buy weeks ahead without losing anything. Once the page has been loaded on wifi it keeps working offline until the end of that window. If your trip moves, write to me and I will shift the dates.

Can I offer it as a gift?

Yes. Enter the recipient’s email at checkout and, if you know it, the day they will walk: the access link and the explanatory sheet go to them, and the tour opens on the right day.

What if my phone has no GPS, or I refuse location access?

The tour still works: tap a stop on the map to start its narration, and the app tells you where the next one is.

Is it available in English?

The interface and the price include both languages. The French narration is available today; the English narration is being recorded and will appear in your tour automatically, at no extra cost.
